Feral child, never knew
hands could hold.

Thrown away as things
unwanted always are.

Fighting through
to tomorrow,
some day,
until he’s taken in
or taken out.

Shaggy, a 6 year old purebred Golden Retriever, was so neglected he was near complete organ failure and weighed just 47 lbs - almost 80 pounds less than he should have weighed.

Since Murphy's Pet Project volunteers stepped in, Shaggy has become a robust and happy 125 pound pampered family pet.
